Akeen Lowell Hamilton, PhD Bio

Dr. Akeen Lowell Hamilton is a public health and public policy professional with over 12 years of experience and is passionate about all things health equity. Dr. Hamilton earned his bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Studies and Master’s Degree in Health Education & Promotion, both at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. He also earned his PhD in Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior at the University of South Carolina. Dr. Hamilton is an avid traveler and enjoys exploring new cities and cuisines with his wife, Gabriela. The pair currently live in Charlotte, NC with their two pups, Coco & Dante.
